The Girls Lacrosse team has certainly had an exciting season! At the end of their regular season, their record was 14-2 with their only two losses being outside of their conference.

The girls first sectional game was against the Crown Point Bulldogs. The beginning of the game was intense with a tied score for most of the first half. Thankfully, the Saint Joe girls pulled through and won the game with a score of 11-6. Goalie, Danielle McIlwain made multiple crucial saves in the game, and key goals were scored by Kate O’Shaughnessy, Paige Harding, Shea Anderson, Mary Maher and Ella Lindzy to secure the victory.

They next played the sectional championship game against the Northridge Raiders. The game started not so well for Saint Joe, being down by two in the first ten minutes, but after a quick timeout, Saint Joe took the lead by two goals at halftime. Saint Joe won the sectional championship with a score of 9-5 with goals by Murphy Farrell, Kate O’Shaughnessy, Paige Harding, Mary Maher, Ellie Emberton, Lillie Ditty, and Grace Kidder.

The girls lacrosse team will head down to Indianapolis to play against Park Tudor in the Semi-State game at Park Tudor High School on Wednesday, May 31st.  Make sure to show your support for these girls as their season wraps up!
