The Boys Varsity Football earned a victory on September 1st with the score 51-0. Saint Joe Football is now 2-1. Saint Joes starting lineup is Franco Biffle(0) Cle Kimbrough(1) Hayden Miller(2) Alex Ortiz(3) Tommy Eck(35) Dakota Ditsch(51) Buddy Hurley(18) Lahni Kearse(66) Joe Wittig (60) Micah Stover(56) and Nick Ortiz (65).

Asserting control early in the first half, Saint Joe maintained much of the ball throughout the game.  Saint Joe defender Champlin (23)  had a great tackle against number 3 on Washington at the 30- yard line. Soon after this Saint Joe got their first touchdown of the night. This was a 21- yard touchdown pass by Ortiz(3) thrown to Downey(10). Saint Joe maintained focus and kept possession of the ball for most of the night. In the second half at 1st and 10 Saint Joe gained another touchdown. This touchdown was a 12- yard touchdown run by Biffle(0). As Washington was fighting back they did not manage to gain any points by half time.

Special teams had a big night blocking four punts and flipping the field for Saint Joe.

In the Second Half Washington  came out stronger and confident to play but Saint Joe did not allow Washington to score.  At the start of Second Half Curry(54) had an amazing tackle at the 27- yard line, recovering the fumble that previously happened.  Towards the end of the 4th quarter Saint Joe ended off the game with another touchdown. This touchdown was a 16- yard touchdown run by Biffle(0). Overall both teams fought hard,  the ending score was 51-0 which updated Saint Joe’s record to 2-1. Next they play Adams at School Field.
