Have you met the notorious Jack Helm? The man, the myth, the legend? If not, here’s a chance to get to know him.

Helm is well known throughout the Saint Joe community for being generous, funny, and a good friend to others. Helm is also featured on the Homecoming court this year with his partner being Meg Baxter.

Helm is also an academic scholar, being included in the National Honors Society, taking a rigorous schedule including AP Statistics, AP Calculus, AP English Language, and AP Biology. He has maintained a grade point average of over 4.0 for his 4 years. This is a very impressive achievement with some extremely hard classes. Helm is looking to go to Dayton University.

Some sports he participates in includes cross country and lacrosse. He is a valuable member at both sports, as he runs in the low 18 minute range for cross country, and is a potential captain for the spring lacrosse season. On the lacrosse team, his main position is X, the player who plays behind the opponent’s goal and feeds passes to other players. Helm’s passes are like a lightning bolt that rips throughout the field, and goes to one of his teammates perfectly for them to make a goal. In his first 3 years of high school Helm was also on the swim team.

So if you didn’t know Jack Helm before, now you know some of what he does. Make sure you say hi to him in the halls!
