Managing school and outside activities can be hard but here are a few suggestions teachers and students have given to be a better student.
“Stay on top of your work but don’t get too overwhelmed,” Anthony Mendez. Doing your work is a simple task that anyone would tell you to do in order to be successful but not getting to overwhelmed is the hard part. Teachers care about your well-being just as much as they do about themselves so if something is going on communication with the teacher can help resolve many problems.
Ms.Kostielney said, “The best thing a student can do to be successful in my class is to seek out help when needed.” Teachers are more than willing to talk and help through any questions you may have so take advantage of that.
Mrs.Kagel said, “Effort. Each person’s effort looks different just as what success will mean to them as well. Success, in my opinion, is personal. Some people whose lives are going well might not have to put in as much effort as opposed to others whose lives have a variety of challenges, who might have to put forth great effort because of their challenges. Or someone whose life is going well might not be motivated to put much effort in because they take time and opportunities for granted. Anyone who consistently shows up and gives what effort they can will likely have more success whatever that may be.”
As you can see everyone has different views about how to be a better student. The one thing in common for just about everyone is that doing your work and knowing the importance of understanding material is very important.
Remember, yours teachers and peers are more than willing to help so don’t shy away from reaching out.
