This season for the Saint Joe Volleyball Team has been one to remember! With impressive stats and an admirable culture, the team has drawn a lot of attention from the school community. The team has done an amazing job at getting their program known, specifically by doing fundraisers around the community – including ones through Chipotle, Portillo’s, and their very own bake sale. With these respectable companies, there is no reason you should resist supporting the team as well! While their regular season ended with a tough loss against Northwood, they launch into the postseason with sectionals this Thursday.
Their sectionals start with a competitive opponent, the New Prairie Cougars. Previously this season, the team lost to the Cougars in four sets, 1-3. However, this time, the team plans on coming out strong and battling for their ticket to the sectional finals. The win is achievable and in reach for the ladies with their driven mentalities, and high spirits. Senior Marley Annis believes that it will be “a game all should attend.” Annis is a leader on and off the court, leading the team to success this season. The girls are looking for lots of support this Thursday, and are hoping for any and all students to come watch them dominate the court!
At 8 p.m. on Thursday, they will play at Jimtown High School to take on the Cougars.
