The team’s talent does not stop at the roster, however. New Head Coach Matt Halfpenny won NIC Coach of the year with an undefeated record within the conference.
In the postseason the boys made it all the way to Semistate. The boys decimated in sectionals beating John Glenn 5-0 and then Riley 5-0 to win the Sectional Championship for the 15th year in a row. A record that is older than some of the team’s 14-year-old freshmen. The team then played Andrean winning decisively 5-0.
This propelled Saint Joe into the Regional Championship round where they played and defeated Chesterton 4-1. Heartbreaking, Saint Joe’s postseason was then ended by Number 1 ranked Carmel High School 0-5.
