The Saint Joe girls basketball team is very new this year. Although we have a lot of young players we have some new coaches as well.
Allie Griffith is one of the three new assistant coaches this year. Coach Griffith attended Archbishop Hoban high school in Akron, OH. She played soccer and basketball along with running track – earning a Varsity letter every year for every sport.
Mike Remley is another new coach. Coach Remley attended Saint Joseph High School and is more than excited to be back. Remley played basketball and tennis in high school and went on to play collegiate basketball at IUSB on a full ride scholarship.
Anne Goralczyk is the third of three new coaches. Coach Goralczyk currently attends Saint Mary’s College and went to Saint Joseph High School. Goralczyk played basketball at Saint Joe and also played 3 years at Saint Mary’s before hanging up her high tops this year.
These coaches all have plenty of playing experience and are excited for the year. The Saint Joe girls basketball team is very young and new – both players and coaches. The whole program is learning to work well together and building chemistry as they look to master their tactics.
Coach Griffith most looks forward to building relationships through the team and her love for basketball, while also working towards a common goal with everyone involved.
Coach Remley has always been called to the vocation of coaching, doing it for many years at many different places. Returning to Saint Joseph, Remley said “being back in this place is my dream, you guys know, I love it here.”
Overall we have a great group of people involved to make this team successful and we cannot wait to get this season started. Games start after our scrimmage next week on Wednesday against Bremen so show up and support the Saint Joe girls basketball team.
