Have you heard of the new Disney movie coming out this November? 

Disney’s Wish is a new movie coming to theaters this Thanksgiving. 

It is about a princess(yes a new Disney princess) named Asha and is centered on a wish that she makes. Her wish brings a star down to earth, and with his help and a goat as her sidekick, it seems like Asha has some sort of kingdom saving mission to achieve. 

There is not a ton of other information about the storyline of the movie yet, but just from the trailer there seems to be a sense of fun as well as suspense, as with all of the best Disney movies. 

This movie will be a musical, like many of Disney’s films, and the two songs that have been released so far are pretty good. “This Wish” and “This the Thanks I Get” are available to listen to now if you want a sneak peak at the movie. If all of the songs are like these, Wish could be another great Disney soundtrack. 

Wish also combines 3d and traditional animation styles to create a beautiful almost sketchbook like style for the film. The style plays into the feeling of dreams and wishes with the light and muted color tones and pops of brightness. 

There is a lot of talent involved with the movie as well. Wish stars Ariana DeBose, Chris Pine, and Alan Tudyk. Directors of the movie Chris Buck and Fawn Veerasunthorn worked on the Frozen movies and Raya and the Last Dragon, respectively. The producers of Wish Peter Del Vecho and Juan Pablo Reyes also did impressive work on Frozen and Encanto(again respectively). 

Wish is the newest Disney animated movie since Strange World, which came out last Thanksgiving, and didn’t do too great. Hopefully, though, Wish will have better luck and leave a reputation closer to that of Encanto, which was a huge hit.
