On October 29th Aidan’s Masterpiece helped run the Holy Cross Trunk or Treat. It began at 11:00 when all the teachers and volunteers arrived to help set up the tables, decorations, the bouncy house, face painting, and of course candy. At 12:00 the grade school students began to arrive.
Although this event was aided by numerous students and adults, it ran very smoothly thanks to the leaders Aubrie Smith, Anna, and Ms. Kershner as well for supervising. Throughout the event there was many activities going on, including face painting, a duck pond, “pumpkin decorating,” a spider ring toss, and concessions. As well as prizes were given to those who had tickets which were won when the kids won the games that were available to them.
Aidan’s Masterpiece wanted to be apart of this wonderful and exciting event because Aidan once coached the kids at Holy Cross Grade School, continuing to do this event is on of the ways Aidan’s Masterpiece is trying to keep his memory alive. It is said on the Aidan’s Masterpiece website that, “Aidan would light up any time he was talking about coaching the little kids at Holy Cross Grade School. He was learning what it felt like to have the Holy Spirit work through him, and he had this incredible gift of knowing when somebody felt like they were an outsider and then he would draw them in with this infectious smile and grin.”
He always enjoyed being around kids, and it was said that he loved making them happy. Aidan’s Masterpiece helps host this event with the same goal, to make kids happy.
