Meet one of Saint Joseph’s senior girls, Mireya Guerrero!
Mireya, also known as “Miri,” is a very dedicated, friendly, caring and loving person. Despite speding all four years here at Saint Joseph, Miri has not always lived in South Bend.
Mireya was born in Chicago and grew up there – where she went to Goodwin Elementary School and James Hedges Elementary School. Later, her family decided to leave Chicago to live in South Bend. Here, she attended St. Adalbert Elementary School, where she met her friends that she has now!
When she attended high school, she had a hard time as a freshmen since COVID-19 made it difficult for everyone. As a junior, she joined the soccer team. Unfortunately, due to a serious knee injury, she had to quit during half of the season for her to heal. She claimed junior year was the toughest year for her. When she attends college, she plans on studying criminal justice here in South Bend.
Although Mireya faced a few challenges throughout her life, she has stayed resilient and looks forward to her future.
