Jayce Lee, a senior standout in basketball and baseball, gives us a little insight of being a student athlete at Saint Joe. Leee says playing sports is very fun for him but definitely has some challenges.
On some days it’s hard to find energy or overcome the soreness in the body, but Lee is overall very happy that he decided to play two sports and recommends it to everyone. According to Lee, the two sports go hand and hand overall helping his ability to play both.
Lee states what he likes the most about basketball is that it helps him prepare for baseball. As a Notre Dame baseball commit for the class of 2024, playing basketball prepares him because it is quicker paced with things happening faster which it helps Lee immensely to be better at baseball.
His biggest inspriations are his parents because he’s seen them sacrfice for him his whole life. They gave him the ability to play sports. Lee even tells us his dad has coached him since he was young and his mom really takes care of him and anything he needs. He is very grateful for all the stuff they do for him and they have inspired him to keep pursuing his dream of playing at Notre Dame and in the majors.
