The Grammys covers all types of genres. Here’s an overview of who’s nominated for some of the biggest categories!
Record of the Year is an award for the best single or single track from an album. The nominees this year are Jon Batiste (Worship), boygenius (Not Strong Enough), Miley Cyrus (Flowers), Billie Eilish (What Was I Made For?), Victoria Monét (On My Mama), Olivia Rodrigo (Vampire), Taylor Swift (Anti-Hero), and SZA (Kill Bill).
Meanwhile, Album of the Year is awarded to the artist with the most well-received album created in 2023. The nominees for 2024 are Jon Batiste (World Music Radio), boygenius (the record), Miley Cyrus (Endless Summer Vacation), Lana Del Rey (Did You Know That There’s A Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd), Janelle Monáe (The Age of Pleasure), Olivia Rodrigo (GUTS), Taylor Swift (Midnights), and SZA (SOS).
Best New Artist is an award given to the hottest and freshest artist that arose in 2023. This years nominees are Gracie Abrams, Fred again.., Ice Spice, Jelly Roll, Coco Jones, Noah Kahan, Victoria Monét, and The War and Treaty.
Finally, another title awarded at the Grammys is the Best Rap Album. The nominees for this category are Drake and 21 Savage (Her Loss), Killer Mike (MICHAEL), Metro Boomin (HEROS & VILLIANS), Nas (King’s Disease III), and Travis Scott (UTOPIA).
