Emma Morris, a Saint Joe senior who participates in many different activities including being captain of the girls swimming team. She also participates in peer mentor, best buddies, hope club, national honor society, she is also the president of Ronald McDonald Club, on the SAAC (student athlete advisory community) executive board, representative on PAC( principle advisory council) as well as being a fourth year PLTW biomedical student.
Morris tells us her favorite memory while being on the swim team was her junior year when her and all the teammates hung out at state finals. She also tells us how she manages to be a student athlete she likes to stay on top of her tasks and never have overdue work, uses planner, intensive schedules helps by immediately start doing her homework, no procrastinating and trying to never fall behind. She has been on the varsity swim team for 4 years so balancing school and sports is very important to her.
Emma’s teammates would describe her as funny, team player, hard working, compassionate. Outside of swimming she loves to hangout with friends, watch Netflix and in the summer hangout at the lake. She plans on studying psychology and neuroscience but is undecided where exactly she plans on studying. Her advice for underclassman is to cherish all relationships and to always rely on your teammates and support them because at the end of the day they will always be there for you.
