To know about the new Demon Slayer movie, you absolutely have to review the basics of the show.
Demon Slayer is a manga/anime series about a teen name Tanjiro and his sister Nezuko. The anime starts off with Tanjiro going down to the town, because he and his family live in the mountains, and he sells charcoal. When he returns he finds his family dead. They were all killed by a demon, except for Nezuko. Nezuko was instead turned into a demon, and that was the beginning of their journey together. This journey starts off with Tanjiro training to become a demon slayer, and succeeding, in order to find the leader of the demons, Muzan, and learn how to turn Nezuko back into a human. While on their journey together they make some friends, Zenitsu and Inosuke. To make a long story short, they all go on missions together and by the end of one of the missions they end up at the Hashira headquarters. The Hashira are the most powerful of the Demon Slayer Corps swordsmen. The three of them stay at the mansion of one of the Hashira and eventually go up against some of the most dangerous and powerful demons, the Twelve Kizuki.
By the end of this last season, Tanjiro and Nezuko alongside two other Hashira, go against two of the Twelve Kizuki. One thing to note about demons is that none of them can survive sunlight. So, they manage to kill one of the demons and by then end of the episode they’re all working their hardest to kill the other. As Tanjiro is the closest and most capable of killing this demon he is caught in a crossroads. The sun is about to rise as the demon is going after humans, but Nezuko is also out in the open, about to get burned and die. Tanjiro decides to go kill the demon and save the humans, meaning Nezuko has died. But she hasn’t! It turns out that Nezuko is the only demon able to live freely in the sun.
This ending of the last episode is now the beginning of the new movie, and the rest of the movie that isn’t in the last episode is the beginning of the next season. Now I am not one to spoil a good movie but this is definitely one to see if you’ve watched the show. This movie gets right to the point and the location of where it is going to be held. One review on the movie read, “I recently had the privilege of experiencing ‘Demon Slayer: Hashira Training,’ and I must say, it is nothing short of a cinematic triumph. From the stunning visuals to the gripping narrative, this movie is a true masterpiece that has set a new standard for anime on the big screen.” In my opinion, the new Demon Slayer movie is not one to miss, but you should go and decide that for yourself.
