This years sectional playoff game against Marian was the first time in school history that we were represented by the HUSKIES, the team came out in their new warmups with Huskies written across the front. The student section was packed for this highly anticipated game. The starters for the game were Jayce Lee, Chase Konieczny, Jerry Barca, Nick Shrewsberry, and Braylen White.

At the end of the first it was a very tight game and very competitive, the quarter ended 14-12 with Saint Joe Huskies winning, both student sections were very into the game and cheering back and forth all game long. And at the end of the first there was still a lot of game to be played so both teams got back to work in the second quarter.

During the second quarter Saint Joe took a larger lead than they had in the first quarter, and was winning with a lead of 7 at the end of the second quarter the score was 30-23. Going into halftime both teams got there well deserved rest after a very intense first half.

In the 3rd quarter Saint Joe continued to maintain their dominance and did not let up, they extended their lead to 10 at the end of the 3rd, with the score being Saint Joe 45, and Marian 35.

In the 4th quarter Saint Joe did not let up and further extended their lead to nearly 20 points with the final score to the game being 65 Saint Joe, to 48 Marian. After winning the student section flooded the court to go celebrate with the team.

The boys finished up their weekend by beating Clay by a staggering score of 81-47 Saint Joe, which was lead by Junior Chase Konieczny who had 34 points and 14 rebounds.

Overall the newly named Saint Joe Huskies had a successful opening weekend to celebrate their new mascot.
