The movie imaginary is about a blended family made up of Jessica and her husband Max along with his two kids from a previous marriage, Alice and Taylor. Alice is the youngest and ends up finding a teddy bear in the basement named Chauncey. The kids’ crazy mom ends up breaking in and attacks Jessica but is arrested. This is way too early for the movie to be over and Jessica starts seeing that Alice and Chauncey seem to have a huge attachment issue and Jessica remembers she once had an imaginary friend. The bear creates some scary moments, even turning into a monster bear when Taylor invites a boy over. Jessica then realizes that only Alice and her can see Chauncey and that Jessica had the same bear before. The bear gets Alice to got the Never Ever realm where Jessica was lured to before. The place made her dad crazy. They battle to get Alice back and finally they all escape as the house is burning down. Unfortunately Gloria, Jessica’s babysitter who rescued Jessica when she was young, ended up dying. At the end they see a boy playing with the bear and they leave that hotel.

The movie had a lot of scary moments where you jump. The bear also turns into a spider which Jessica has made children’s books about. I am not a fan of spiders and this movie showing how evil they are made me scared. There was a lot of predictability if you watch a lot of horror movies. I guessed early on that the bear was likely Jessica’s and something bad happened with the bear before. It was fun to watch one time but nothing that would make me get that true horror film scare so I will not watch it again. The spider though… I really hope it dies.
