This new docu-series is a documentary that focuses on the allegations of abuse and uncovers the toxic culture at Nickelodeon from some of the most iconic children’s shows of the late 1990s and early 2000s.
In the original four episodes of Quiet on Set, the old producer Dan Schneider was accused of inappropriate behavior on a number of his Nickelodeon shows, including asking female employees for massages on set. Some also argued that the shows he worked on featured disturbing sexual innuendos, which he claimed was intended to be “funny” for the young audience, and it in fact was not.
The newest episode revealed more allegations from some Nickelodeon actors and more claims against Drake Bell’s abuser. The fifth episode that aired featured new interviews with the participants of the original four episodes, plus one former child star who came forward for the first time. Toward the end of the episode, former “all that” star Shane Lyons made the allegation that dialogue coach Brian Peck made passes at him while he was on the show. In the docu-series Bell previously accused Peck of sexually assaulting him.
While discussing what happened with Peck, Bell revealed that several Hollywood stars like James Marsden, Will Friedle and Rider Strong wrote letters of support for Peck during the abuse case. Bell already revealed that when he arrived in court he was disappointed and shocked by how Peck’s side of the court room was filled with many recognizable faces. Several people have expressed regret for doing so, but Bell said no one who wrote a letter supporting peck has reached out personally and apologized.
There have been many more things revealed in this docu-series so to further observe the abuse behind the scenes of Nickelodeon, you can watch Quiet on Set on TV apps like Max and Amazon Prime Video.
