Alex Miller has been playing tennis for eight years since the age of ten years old. Among her inspirations over the years was her father who really pushed her to start playing tennis. Even now every weekend morning, she bonds with her father over a game of tennis.
Alex Miller’s favorite memory was her sophomore year match against Lakeshore. She and her sister Ava were down 5-9 in a 10 point tie breaker before coming back to beat their opponents 12-10 to secure the win against them. She said that overall it was such a tough battle that it just felt so good to get that win under their belt.
Many times the twins do get frustrated with each other as all siblings do but it is always a good time when they are playing doubles together. They prefer playing together rather than alone in singles. Penn is Alex’s favorite team to play and go up against because she has been playing with those girls ever since she moved here. Alex has a lot of her friends on the Penn team so it is always an intense match up. Alex is very excited to keep pushing herself and loves the challenges that the team throws at her daily to build up her skills and improve as a player. She is also looking forward to the upcoming matches including senior night and the possibility of state later in the season.
The overall team record is undefeated right now and they are ranked number one in the state!
