It’s an okay ending that leaves some things unresolved but also concludes in a way that removes the need to fill in the plot holes. Would it make more sense if they did? For sure, in full. It’s unfortunate considering how great the previous seasons were that I didn’t leave the show because I disliked it—mostly, I just felt nothing. There definitely are solid story ideas there, and if it hadn’t been hurried, it probably would have been a wonderful farewell. An overall letdown, but not a terrible conclusion.
To force the final season down audiences’ throats, writers and actors lost the core of key characters. It was drawn out by the presence of fillers that weren’t necessary. It felt that at times the acting was a little forced and harsh. I had hoped that the finale of the show would have been as good as the first episode, given the amount of time viewers had put in all three seasons.
The third season finale would have been a better ending. Season 4 has some exciting roles, but considering the claimed sacrifice, the entire plot and the climax just looked ridiculous. Sometimes it seemed like a self-parody; for example, you can see how many characters and situations have huge amounts of force, yet CIA headquarters missed any since it would ruin the plot.
I would give this finally a 6/10.
