The 2024 Football season is here and the boys started off with a very close loss against Lakeland 21-20. A.J. LaSane threw touchdowns to Dallas Downey and Cle Kimbrough. Next, the Huskies hosted South Side at Father Bly Field on August 30 and won by a score of 21-9. All three of the touchdowns were thrown by A.J. Lasane to Brayson Hurley.

The Huskies take on the New Prairie Cougars on Friday September 6 at New Prairie. The upcoming schedule consists of New Prairie September 6th, Marian September 13th, Adams September 20th, Elkhart September 27th, Riley October 4th, Washington October 11th, and Penn October 18th.

The playoff games and schedule are still undetermined until the draw that occurs near the end of the season. The football team has been working for the last 5 months to bring the best Saint Joe level of football to this school and will continue to work and fight all the way to a state Championship. Football hasn’t won a state championship in over 20 years and we hope to end that as soon as possible and bring one home. We have recently made a division change from 3a to 4a and that drastically increases our competition and means it will be harder to win one but still never impossible. This is the first year of the Saint Joe football Huskies and we are hoping that it is the best year yet. We hope to go all the way as the Huskies and hopefully not lose another game for the rest of the season.
