The first event in South Bend that I would definitely recommend if you need service hours is Fusion Fest. Fusion Fest occurs on Saturday, September 14th from 11:00 am-8:00 pm, and it’s held at Howard Park in South Bend. What is Fusion Fest? Fusion Fest is a festival that includes many food vendors, music, demonstrations, and artisans from around the world. There is traditional music and dances so that people can learn about the different cultures that make up the community at South Bend! Make sure you email soon! There is a mandatory volunteer meeting on September 11th, 2024 at 5:30pm in the Howard Park Event Center in order to volunteer at Fusion Fest.

Other events are the first Fridays in South Bend. On the first Friday of each month, there’s a small festival in the streets of downtown South Bend. It’s definitely an easy and fun way to knock out service hours.

If you cannot volunteer in either of these events, you can find plenty of suggestions such as Cultivate or Pet Refuge on the Saint Joe High School website under “service hours” and “approved websites.” Another great way to get service hours is to join Aidan’s masterpiece club, which hosts service based events like the Trunk or Treat in October.
