The 2025 Hunger Bowl is approaching closely. The Food Drive kick off is on Friday September 13. Game Day is at Marian. The Hunger Bowl is a tradition between Saint Joe and Marian to see who can donate the most food. This tradition is used to help people in need for food. Before the Hunger Bowl we usually have a dress down day and that money goes to the Hunger Bowl. This annual tradition benefits the St. Vincent de Paul Society of St. Joseph County. The Hunger Bowl is a one day food drive where both students from Marian and Saint Joe bring in food. The school that donates the more food with be rewarded with the Hunger Bowl trophy during halftime and the Holy War.
A $1 donation is equal to 2 pounds of food. This annual tradition is bigger than just a competition between two school, it’s to help others in need and that’s what both Saint Joe and Marian is doing. Last Year Marian won the Hunger Bowl. Bringing more money for the dress down day helps us win and helps us try to beat Marian and also help the people in our community. The biggest game of the year also follows this event, The Holy War. Come out to the game this Friday September 13 to support our Huskies. Let’s bring our Saint Joe pride and spirit to the game. Let’s beat Marian in the Hunger Bowl and The Holy War. Let’s bring it home Saint Joe. Let’s have Saint Joe win this year!!!
