The JV football team opened the season with Lakeland and defeated them with a score of 47-0. In the first quarter running back Matthew Champlin punched one into the endzone, quarter back Sam Schicitano threw for 2 touchdowns as well. The defense stood tall and held the Lakeland offense to 0 points in the first half. The boys entered the second half up 21-0 and did not slow down. Running back Darren Macilwan opened up the second half scoring with a rushing touchdown. After a few touchdowns, field goals, and defensive stands the JV boys defeated Lakeland and stared off the season hot 1-0.
The JV team faced off against Fort Wayne South Side on the road and defeated them 26-0. Sam Schicitano threw for 2 passing touchdowns. Kicker Ramon Vesilik had 3 field goals and an extra point. The team tried for a 2 point conversion but failed. The defense again stood on it’s head and held Fort Wayne South Side to 0 points. With this win the team improved to 2-0 with 0 points allowed throughout the whole season!
The boys JV football team took on New Prairie last weekend at home. They won with a score of 14-0 with touchdowns from Joe Fox and Jaxon Petty. The win improves them to 3-0 on the season with past wins over Lakeland and Fort Wayne South Side. The JV football team takes on Marian this week in the holy war seeking a win.
