The Saint Joe Girls Soccer Team volunteered this weekend at the 2024 Logan Walk and Roll at Potawatomi Zoo. The Walk and Roll, hosted by the Logan Center, is a cherished tradition in our community that raises awareness and funds to support individuals with disabilities.
The event welcomed people of all ages and abilities to participate in a 1 mile walk, roll, or leisurely stroll around the park. The “roll” aspect, referring to wheelchairs, scooters, and strollers, highlighted the inclusive nature of the event, ensuring that everyone could be involved.
The team came decked out in colorful team shirts and costumes, bringing a festive spirit to the day. The positive energy was really a highlight of the event alongside the aspects of inclusion. Afterwards there was a Family Fun Fest that included music, games, and breakfast from Chick-fil-A.
It was the 21st Annual Logan Walk and Roll. When asked “What is one thing you’re most excited about for today?”, a spokesperson for Logan replied, “We have so many volunteers that put on this event with us. We have the Saint Joe girls soccer team. We have the Penn Girls soccer team. We have the Bethel men’s soccer team. They truly provide so much excitement and energy around this event, I’m just excited to hear them cheer alongside our clients and just watch our clients have the best morning they possibly can this weekend”( WSBT).
If you missed it this year, be sure to mark your calendar for next fall and join in on this inspiring celebration of community and inclusion!
