Lauren Frick is a senior and a captain on the soccer team. She has been a part of the soccer team for four years, as well as the track team all four years of her high school career. Lauren is a part of NHS, HOPE club, and peer mentors, and was recently nominated for the fall homecoming court.
Frick would describe her soccer season as, “lovely because everyone enjoys being at practice which makes practicing very enjoyable and fun,” she says, “Soccer is so fun when it’s with all your best friends.”
In addition to playing soccer in the fall, Lauren is a part of the girls track team in the spring. She runs the 4×800, 800, and the 4×400 and has an impressive personal record of 2 minutes and 20 seconds in the 800 meter race.
While being successful on the soccer field and the track, Lauren also thrives in the classroom. She has a strong GPA and would like to continue her academic career at Miami of Ohio or Auburn. There, she will study kinesiology or something related to it.
Frick has had a lot of good memories and has learned a lot at St. Joe. Lauren says her favorite memory is when she beat Marian in soccer this year in penalty kicks. Some advice she has for underclassmen is to, “Join lots of clubs because they are not very hard to be a part of but provide great opportunities to get yourself involved in the school.” Have a great day St. Joe!
