Hurricane season had arrived and has plagued the southern part of the United States. Hurricane Helene has hit North Carolina especially hard – the latest death total is now well over 160 deaths with over 600 people missing. Even though the hurricane is now gone, flooding has left massive wreckage to be gone through.
Hurricane Helene is said to be the deadliest hurricane since Hurricane Katrina back in 2005. The news has been tragic including a story of two grandparents who were found dead hugging each other.
Hurricane Helene hit multiple states throughout the south including Louisiana, Florida, Tennessee, Georgia, Alabama and the Carolinas. There were even accounts of the hurricane Helene causing damage in some parts of Texas and as far north as Kentucky. Some notable cities that were affected by the hurricane are Tallahassee, Nashville, and Atlanta, Georgia.
This Hurricane formed on September twenty-four an dispersed on September twenty-seventh. This Hurricane’s path went through around five to six southern states. Not just the United States was affected by this hurricane but also Cuba, Cayman Islands, and the Yucatan Peninsula were affected.
