From big to small, cheap to expensive, and urban to rural — Indiana has a college for everyone.
Starting off with the biggest one of them all is Indiana University in Bloomington Indiana with it being around 2,000 acres and with over 90,000 students enrolled! If you are into sports, the Hoosiers are D1 in 24 of them with Basketball being the biggest. They also have many club and intramural teams to scratch that competitive itch. IU also has 200 plus majors to study. All around IU is a great school with a huge enrollment and very popular with students around the area.
Another great option to check out is Ball State University. Ball State is another popular university with students in Indiana but not quite the size as IU Bloomington. It is a little closer to home being only 2 ½ hours away. Ball state has around 20,000 students enrolled, being a midsize school for people looking for that. Ball state also has D1 sports programs with football being their most popular. They also offer over 120 fields to major in. Ball state is the perfect mix of big and small and a great place to apply for in your wanting to stay close to home.
The last school in Indiana to check out is the University of Indianapolis. Also known as UIndy, Indianapolis offers a ton when it comes to an instate school. Uindy offers 82 majors to study in. Indianapolis is the smallest school in the bunch with only 5,000 students enrolled, which is a perfect fit if you are looking for a more personal professor and smaller classes. Uindy is a D2 sports program with football being their most popular. The University of Indianapolis is a great option if you are looking for a smaller school and want to be near a city.
