Girls volleyball beat Washington 3-0 on Senior Night! The scores were 25-17, 25-14, and 25-14.
Molly Evans, #7, plays right side/outside hitter and her parents are Robbie and Mindy Evans. She attended St. Joseph Grade School and her favorite teacher is Ms. Santi. She is considering attending IU Bloomington for Psychology. Her favorite memory with the team is going to Eddy Street with the team before games, and her advice is “It’s all a mental game.”
Emma Richardson, #2, plays DS and her parents are Mike and Jody Richardson. She attended St. Pius X and her favorite teacher is Mrs. Gergely. She plans to attend college and study nursing. Her favorite memory with the team is the waterslide at Coach Lindsey’s house last year and making haunted gingerbread houses at the sectional watch party senior year. Her advice is “Always have fun and keep a smile on your face. Your four years will go by fast!”
Alex Zanker, #4, plays Pin Hitter and her parents are Joseph Zanker and Nicole Anest. She attended St. Pius X and her favorite teachers are Ms. Lamp and Mrs. Barca. She plans to go to college and play volleyball one way or another, and to major in Biology or Psychology. Her favorite memory with the team is staying out late at her freshman year team campout and beating Marian her junior year. Her advice is “Don’t worry about the things you can’t change, everything will work out. Trust God’s plan and process.”
Genevieve Amico, #8, plays right side and her parents are Robert and Bernadette Amico. She attended St.Pius X and her favorite teacher is Ms. Jonatzke. She plans to attend either University of Tennessee or IU Bloomington to major in nursing. Her favorite memory with the team is all teams beating Marian junior year. Her advice is “Make the most of it all the time. It goes by very quickly. Always be kind to your teammates and make it a family.”
