We Live in Time is emotionally intense. The story starts out with female main character Almut getting diagnosed with cancer. As the movie goes on it introduces Tobias, the male lead. The film flashes back to when Almut hits Tobias with her car, bringing the couple together initially. The movie jumps around in time as it goes on — leaping from the birth of their child, to when the child is older, and then to when Almut is trying to win her chef competition. We also see how the hardships and obstacles they experience through throughout their lives together — following the ups and down and how easily your life can change.
This movie is good if you are wanting a good cry: very emotional, but still a happy movie. The producers really make you feel the range of emotions with the characters throughout this film. The acting felt so real. I liked the whole movie, but I wasn’t the biggest fan of the ending. It was a cute ending, but I wish they would have given us more. You will definitely leave the theatre thinking of life differently. Overall, definitely worth a rewatch.
