Though there are many clubs at Saint Joe, one of the most unique is the Ski Club. The Ski Club meets on the first few Fridays of the spring semester and goes up to Swiss Valley to ski. This club is a great opportunity to learn how to ski and have fun with your friends!
Club president Brody Hill believes that Ski Club is one of the best clubs at Saint Joe, rating it a “100 out of 100.” Club member Dylan Farrell also thinks that “100 out of 100” is accurate.
Ski club is made up of many experienced skiers, most of which are more than willing to teach beginners the tricks about how to ski or snowboard.
Swiss Valley contains many runs ranging from beginner to advanced, and it is known for it’s large terrain park, which, for advanced skiers, is a cool way to show off your skills.
Membership is currently closed for 2025, with the club being as full as it can be. Be sure to sign up for next year’s club early to guarantee your spot.
Ski Club is moderated by French teacher Mr. Shelley, and co-moderated by Theology teacher Ms. Matty and German teacher Mrs. Germann. These teachers also ski with the club and are willing to teach beginners the ropes of skiing.
Overall, ski club is a very fun way to hang out with your friends while doing something fun. Ski club is a great club for both people who have been skiing for years and beginners who are just learning.
