Have you been looking for a new ice cream place? Well, Murphy’s Ice Cream Shoppe is located on Eddy Street Commons, 1044 E Angela Blvd #101, South Bend, IN 46617. It is located where Kilwins used to be. I went in to see what all the hype was about. When you walk in, it is a very well decorated place. They opened in the spring of 2024. They have very reasonable prices for the amazing quality you are receiving. They offer pre scooped ice cream to avoid allergens and other off the board flavors that come pre scooped. They had complementary water along with a waffle piece that comes with your ice cream. While you are enjoying your ice cream, there are plenty of games to choose from.

They are open Monday through Friday 3:30-9 pm and the weekends 1-9 pm. Their hand-scooped ice cream is from the Chocolate Shoppe Ice Cream Company in Madison, Wisconsin.

Sophomore Evolette Williams commented on Murphy’s, “10 out of 10 I would recommend for anyone looking for ice cream on a chill day.”

Nina agreed, “It was very good quality ice cream and that staff was amazing. I really enjoyed how welcoming the place was and the games and activities made it an even better experience. I will definitely be coming back.”

They currently have twenty four flavors with some vegan and no sugar added options. They also have three pre-scooped flavors that are switched. Their flavors included Old Fashioned Vanilla, Zanzibar Chocolate, Superman, this s#@! Just got Serious, Cookie Dough, Ultimate Oreo, Strawberry, Mint Chip, Chocolate, Butter Pecan, Exhausted Parent, Ice Latte da, Fat Elvis, Birthday Cake, Moose Tracks, Peanut Butter Cookie Dough, Caramel Chaos, Blueberry Cheesecake, Munchie Madness, Mint Oreo Oat, Rainbow Sherbet, Black Cherry Oat, Raspberry Lemon Italian Ice, and Pomegranate.
