Saint Joseph high school art students have done a great job this year at earning so many awards with an impressive 19 gold key awards, 41 silver key awards, and 42 honorable mentions in the art award category. Saint Joe students have also won 4 gold key, 4 silver key and 6 silver key awards in the writing category. With all of these combined, 116 students did an incredible job at making unique and creative award winning pieces of art. Some of these Gold Key award winning students include Giuliana Mendez, whose art is shown above named “Sidewalk Magic,” Devyn Rafinski , Alex Choinacky, Alex Rulli , Jack Erdman , Audrey Zielinski, Juliana Talavera, and Lucy Noem just to name a few. All of these students have won either one or multiple Gold Keys in all different categories, including ceramics, painting, photography, illustrations, and print making.
To see these amazing pieces of art come visit the Bendix Theatre where the Gold and Silver key award winners art will be posted and hanging up on display at the Warner Gallery, with Honorable mentions being shown on a screen throughout the ceremony. Two sessions able being held this Saturday, February 8th. The first session is at 10:30 AM with schools that include Saint Joseph high school and grade school, John Adams, Riley, Penn , and Marian High school. Then the second session is at 2 PM that same day some schools being shown include Culver Academy, Elkhart, John Glenn, Goshen, Mishawaka, and New Prairie High school. So come out at 10:30 AM to support your fellow students and see their artworks and plenty of other students works being shown.
