Lil Baby’s fourth studio album, WHAM (“Who Hard As Me”), released on January 3, 2025, showcases his continued dominance in the hip-hop scene. The album features collaborations with artists like Young Thug, Future, GloRilla, Rod Wave, Rylo Rodriguez, Travis Scott, and 21 Savage.
Baby spoke on how different this album was for him. Baby said “I definitely experimented with my sounds and flows because, at first, I never thought to even try to change my flow or change my sound. This time, I actually put thought into it. I actually went back this time and redid stuff and tightened stuff up—versus in the past, whatever I recorded, that’s how I left it.” Basically saying how much time he took on this album because it was so special for him, he did thing he’d never done before while creating this album
Baby appeared in a cover story interview with Complex in which he spoke about the creation of the album. During the interview, he revealed that he begun working on the record in September 2023 in Atlanta and Miami following the completion of his It’s Only Us Tour. Baby stated that the goal for the album was to prove those who doubted him wrong.
This album has 19 songs. 1) Listen Up: The opening track. , 2)Dum, Dumb, and Dumber (feat. Young Thug & Future), 3)F U 2x, I Promise, Redbone (feat. GloRilla), By Myself (feat. Rod Wave & Rylo Rodriguez), Due 4A Win, Stiff Gang, So Sorry, Stuff (feat. Travis Scott), Say Twin, Free Promo, Outfit (feat. 21 Savage), Dr**s Talkin, Streets Colder, 99 (feat. Future), Idol, Running This S***, and My Shawty.
Personally, if there is one song from this record that is no doubt going to pop off and be a hit for the rest of 2025, it has got to be ‘Dum, Dumb, and Dumber.’ When the tracklist for this record was dropped, my first thought when I saw this one was that it better be a banger, a song featuring both Lil Baby and young Thug. Considering this is the first thing Young Thug has been on post-incarceration, it was pretty good.
