Soccer, lacrosse, leader in student government, and she wants to major in film–let’s take a better look at the accomplishments of senior Shea Anderson.
To best put it, she’s done a lot. She’s been the core of the soccer team, saving and supporting her teammates as they kick into competition. Her favorite Saint Joe memory was “beating Marian in a PK shootout.”
Outside the soccer fields, she has dodged opponents as a lacrosse midfield. As a varsity captain for the last two years, she has been a model for the underclassmen, demonstrating strength in and out of the classroom.
Shea’s involvement in the film club, as a peer mentor, and as senior class vice president can attest to her mark on Saint Joe. Whether it’s working on a short story for the new husky, mentoring her group of freshmen, or even coordinating all of the senior year events, she has been an active student, to say the least. She plans to continue her education at the University of San Diego with a double major in film and marketing. Her love for the film can be summarized in one whole heart sentence: “It’s a creative outlet and a way to share my own stories through a creative lens that can impact others.”
If there is a piece of advice you take from someone at Saint Joe, Shea is most definitely qualified to do so. So here it is: “Put yourself out there and try new things, but physics honors is not one of them.”
