As we head into sectionals the boys are ranked seventeenth in Indiana, with a record of 20-3. Senior Chase Konieczny is ranked nineteenth for points per game, which is 22.3. Ethan Roseman comes in at eleventh for assists per game, that being 6.6; Ethan also holds the regular season assist record holder being 150 assists with an excellent assist to turnover ratio. In the last regular season game against Mishawaka high school, senior Chase Konieczny bypassed 2,000 career points passing his brother and becoming the all time leading scorer for Saint Joseph finishing with 2,024 points.
The Huskies will square off against the South Bend Washington Panthers at 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 5. St. Joseph’s last win was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 20-3. Those victories came in great part to their offensive performance, as they averaged 84.3 points over those games. As for South Bend Washington, their last defeat dropped their record down to 16-7. When the Huskies played against the Panthers in the regular season everything came up amazing for Saint Joe with their previous meeting back in January, as the team secured a 96-53 victory.
