This past weekend, the Mock Trial team went down to Indy to compete at the State Level. After receiving a wild card from Regionals the weekend prior, the team was excited to return for one more weekend to put their skills to work.

This years case was a very exciting one! As a short summary of the case, a podcaster had provoked an unfortunate event to a famous singers ex. The podcaster, who had some issues with the singers ex knew of a meet and greet that was fastly approaching.The podcaster, wanting to stir-up some drama with the ex, told the fans of the podcast to go down to the meet and greet and make a scene. This proceeds to happen, and thats were our mock trial team comes into argue the case.

Some excellent showings from this past weekend include Sarah Anatolios who was recognized with an outstanding attorney award in one round of play, and Joey Harshman received the outstanding witness award. He additionally received two additional outstanding witness awards in rounds of play.

The team showed hard work and dedication, while not placing in the top five, they did put forth an impressive showing competing against very difficult teams from all through out the state of Indiana. As the season ended, one of the members said ” we had a great season and I’m really proud of all the hard work that’s been done this year. Were hoping to grow as a team and come back even stronger next year!”
