“A Tradition Unlike Any Other.” The voice of the graceful Jim Nance, the chirping of the birds, and the stillness of the water — all culminating in the legendary presentation of the green jacket to the winner. A couple days after the National Championship game, the Masters will take center stage within the sporting world as each player looks to etch their name into the history books with the likes of Tiger Woods, Jack Nicklaus, Arnold Palmer, Gary Player, Scottie Scheffler, and so many more legends of the game. Augusta National Golf Club provides a riveting weekend for the players, especially with the iconic Amen Corner (Holes 11,12,13) that seem to make or break the eventual champion that triumphs on Sunday evening. Who will put on that coveted green jacket on Sunday evening, will Scottie Scheffler go back-to-back? Will Rory Mcllroy fight his Augusta demons and finally complete the career grand slam? Yes the stars will be there, but one must not forget about the underdogs that fall in love with Augusta National and start to make a name for themselves on the PGA Tour (or LIV Tour).
Scottie Scheffler is the favorite to make history at Augusta by going back-to-back which has only been done by Jack Nicklaus, Nick Faldo, and Tiger Woods. However, Rory Mcllroy is right behind the world number one, as many believe this is his year to get it done at the Masters, as Rory comes into the tournament in great form after his victory at the Players Championship. Those two are the top dogs in the golfing world at the moment, but those from the LIV Golf Tour must not be forgotten. The firepower of Bryson DeChambeau, Jon Rahm, and Brooks Koepka won’t back down from the big stage, with each showing their major prowess in recent years. The Swedish youngster, Ludvig Aberg looks ready to take his first major and will be a major threat for the green jacket. JT (Justin Thomas) and JS (Jordan Spieth) look to be back into good form and primed to enter back into the elites of the golf world, especially with how much the two love to play at Augusta National.
The tournament starts on Thursday, April 10 culminating in what should be an historic evening that Sunday, as another player will slip on the prestigious green jacket.
