Senior Peter George Baglow is a fantastic example of how we should all get involved in whatever we can even if we aren’t completely sure if we would fit in. His brothers were all part of theater when they went to high school and he didn’t think he would enjoy it like they did. Despite that he decided to do it anyway his freshman year and it completely stuck. Peter has been a prominent actor in the fall plays and the spring musicals. So far he has been in an acting role for seven of the productions and as part of the stage crew for two productions so far. He has also been in some of the cabarets that Saint Joe had with Mishawaka High School.
“I’ve made a family here and the memories I’m going to have with them are going to stay with me for a lifetime.” Baglow has also been a member of the Esports team since his freshman year where he is currently the lead captain and is certainly our best player.
Baglow’s favorite courses at Saint Joe include Mr. McCarthy’s History class and he “just adored Mr. Dillon’s pre-calculus honors class.” In his free time he likes to read fantasy novels, play video games and card games, and of course he loves to watch football and basketball and goes to many of the games here. His advice for the freshmen here is “try something you wouldn’t think you’d try. I thought I’d suck and singing, acting, and dancing, I didn’t think that was my world at all, that was my siblings’ world and now it’s one of the main things I’ve wanted to do with my life for a long time. So you can really find something new here at Saint Joe.”
When he graduates from Saint Joe he plans to go to a high level Catholic university where he wants to pursue law by majoring in either philosophy or history.
