Senior Anna Pruitt is the prime example of someone who has quite literally done it all. From serving as captain of the girls’ swim team to starring as lead in the fall play, Anna has been a constant presence in the Saint Joe community since her freshman year.
Before high school, Anna attended and graduated from Stanley Clark School. Coming into Saint Joe with an outgoing personality and a willingness to step outside of her comfort zone, she wasted no time getting involved. “I knew I wanted to try a little bit of everything,” Anna said. “I think I put my email down for almost every club at the Co-Curricular Fair my freshman year.” That eagerness to explore quickly turned into meaningful leadership roles and accomplishments.

Anna currently serves as president of Best Buddies, a club dedicated to creating inclusive environments and meaningful friendships for people of all abilities. She has competed at Nationals for Euro Challenge, is heading to State for Mock Trial, and was a three-year varsity swimmer, eventually becoming team captain. In addition, she is a Peer Mentor and a member of the National Honor Society. Instead of simply participating, Anna has made it a priority to lead and uplift others in every space she enters.
Outside of school, Anna’s drive continues. She has worked at the Boys and Girls Club and as a nanny for a local family. She balances academics, extracurriculars, and employment with undoubted dedication. In her free time, she enjoys baking, sourdough being her specialty, and traveling with her family. Europe holds a special place in her heart, with trips to Greece, Rome, Paris, and London among her favorite memories.
When asked what advice she would give to underclassmen, Anna encourages them to take chances. “Try everything! Don’t let being a beginner stop you from trying,” she says. It’s advice she has clearly lived by throughout her four years.
After graduating from Saint Joe, Anna plans to attend Notre Dame to study Political Science, with aspirations of becoming a lawyer. With her leadership, confidence, and commitment to making a difference, there is no doubt that Anna’s future is bright. Saint Joe will certainly miss her energy and enthusiasm, but there’s no question she is ready for what comes next!
