Christ the Teacher Award Winner Announced

Ben Kromkowski

Recently the annual “Christ the Teacher” award was given out to a teacher who truly shows Christ’s example through their instruction. Ms, Kostileney motivates students in addition to being very involved with extracurriculars. This award is only given to a single teacher annually which makes it a very prestigious award to receive. As a result, normally the presenting of this award would warrant a large celebration, but due to the pandemic this was not the case this year.

With faculty and staff safely socially distanced in the Alumni Gym, Mr. Kennedy presented the winner of the award.describing her as “challenging students to do their best, as well as teaching them the right way” and also “having an intuition for when students aren’t understanding a problem and encourages them.” Mr. Kennedy announced “Ms. Sue Kostielney” and loud applause erupted.

When asked about what this award means to her she said, “It’s a great honor.” She went on to say that is due to the fact that former and present students, as well as other colleagues felt she deserved to win. She also felt proud to join the great company of former award winners.

Be sure to congratulate Ms. Kostielney on this distinguished award.
