Nearing the Finals

Erwin Luu, Staff Writer

Wake up Saint Joe! Finals is approaching next week on the 16, 17, and 18 of December, and all Saint Joe students are required to take it for their first semester grade! These finals will be remote and it’s either a final test, paper, or project, depending on what your teachers assigned you.

On Wednesday, December 16, you will take your finals from your English (9:00 A.M. – 10:15 A.M.) and Theology class (12:00 P.M. – 1:15 P.M.).

On Thursday, December 17, you will take your finals from Science/PLTW (9:00 A.M. – 10:15 A.M.) and Social Studies class (12:00 P.M. – 1:15 P.M.).

Finally, on Friday, December 18, you will take your finals from the World Language (9:00 A.M. – 10:15 A.M.) and Math Department class (12:00 P.M. – 1:15 P.M.).

If you’re taking two finals under the same subject, then you must talk to your teachers in those department about it ASAP. Tuesday, December 15 is a reserve day for any students who are taking double exams (or more) in the same subject.

If a class final is either giving you a test or an “actual” final exam, here are some tips for you to get ready. First, make sure you study a little bit everyday. Try starting from the top and study all the way down to your most recent one or whatever method you prefer. Make sure you set your study time into intervals, so you don’t get tired out.

Next, stay hydrated and stay moving. Staring at your screen for a long time while studying is not good for you and stop looking at your screens during breaks as well. Be active and stay hydrated during your breaks so your brain can be refreshed and tackle other courses as well.

Lastly, make sure you get some good night sleeps days before the final exam. Eliminate any distraction that are preventing you from sleeping and distractions during your final exam.

Take these finals seriously as it will impact your grade and your future. If you have any questions, please make sure you email your teacher or Ms. Gallagher at [email protected].
