Raising Cane’s Takes on Mishawaka

Amidst the gradual modernization of Indiana’s South Bend, we’ve recently been able to welcome the new fast food restaurant, Raising Cane’s. What’s Raising Cane’s you may ask? Well according to their website, “Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers is a fast-food restaurant chain specializing in chicken fingers founded in Baton Rouge, Louisiana by Todd Graves and Craig Silvey on August 26, 1996.” The new restaurant has been a true goldmine when it came to South Bend. Many people have been lining up to try the food, daily. Yes, daily, since their opening.

I was luckily able to try it the first day they opened. I had to wait in line for roughly 2 hours. The wait was by no means at fault on the restaurant itself, but the extremely extensive line specifically for the food. I ordered the fan favorite known as the “The Box Combo.” It came with 4 chicken tenders, a side of fries, texas toast, canes signature dipping  sauce, coleslaw and a drink! Once finished, I can assure you that the meal was like no other chicken finger joint. Just by the taste of the food you’re aware of how authentically southern of a style it is. The food was amazing and I absolutely suggest you go and try it!
