The wrestling team celebrated their seniors last Saturday January 23rd  in Alumni Gym prior to the battle among Saint Joe, Riley, and Adams. Riley won the meet with Saint Joe placing second ahead of Adams, but the real winner were the seniors.

The celebration started off by honoring team managers Erwin Luu and Manny Alaniz.  Then the focus fell on Jacob Marscola, Trevor Johnson, and Prestin Jackson. They’ve put tremendous time and effort in becoming better wrestlers and mentoring  their teammates as well.

After recognition of the seniors, the meet began.  Riley dominated Saint Joe in every single weight division, but Saint Joe battled. Amarion Parker and Jack Aranowski held onto their opponent in all three periods without a pin but unfortunately lost due to their opponent outscoring them.

After Riley blanked Adams, the host Indians fought the Eagles. The teams were even matched, but Saint Joe prevailed 27-22 to add an excellent closing on the senior festivities.
