Senior baseball player Bryce Lesher recently committed to play baseball at Lake Michigan College. Lesher is keeping his talent in the Midwest at the Lake Michigan campus – a 40 minute drive from South Bend.

Lesher has been playing baseball since he was 3 years old and he credits much of his success to his teammates and coaches from his younger days. Lesher started at Chet Waggoner Little League where the training built the foundation of his skills, and has since played most of his career for the Michiana Scrappers – a travel team out of South Bend.  This team helped him prepare for better competition and raised his talent level, and gave him the nickname that sticks with him today: Big Bison. As one of the biggest and most powerful players on the field, Lesher steps onto the field with confidence.

Lake Michigan in the MCCAA conference is a 2 year community college that has had good success in recent years. Lesher wants to build on his game at Lake Michigan and hopes to start his freshman year and then go on to play Division 1 baseball.

Despite missing his junior season, Lesher did play in the summer with the Michiana Scrappers and played across the midwest in Ohio, Michigan, Kentucky, Wisconsin, Missouri, and Illinois. He played against some of the best talent across the Midwest and played very well.

His ultimate goal for his senior season in high school is to win a state championship, something that he has been dreaming about it ever since he saw Saint Joe beat Jasper in 2017 to win the state title.
