March 28, 2021
The 61st Grammy Awards were broadcasted over the weekend on March 14, 2021. The ceremony featured many renowned and prominent artists who either performed or received an award themselves.
The award ceremony was held in Los Angeles, California, and it was hosted by comedian Trevor Noah.
The ceremony featured outstanding performances from numerous artists including: Megan Thee Stallion, Cardi B, Doja Cat, Roddy Ricch, Taylor Swift, Post Malone, Billie Eilish and more.
One of the most notable highlights of the night is Beyoncé winning four more Grammy Awards and becoming the most-awarded woman in Grammy history after receiving a total of 28 Grammy Awards in her career. Not only did Beyoncé receive a Grammy Award, but her daughter, Blue Ivy, received one, too, for best music video.
Megan Thee Stallion also made history at the Grammy’s after winning best new artist and becoming the first female rapper to win the award since Lauryn Hill in 1999.
Along with Megan Thee Stallion, Billie Eilish and Taylor Swift also made history at the Grammy’s, as well. Billie won record of the year for the second year in a row after winning it last year. Taylor became the first female singer to win album of the year three times.
Safe to say that the 61st annual Grammy Awards did not disappoint.
