In the first game of the girls double header, they faced Indy’s Bishop Chatard. The girls came out hard in this game adding one run in the first inning. They went on to score five more runs, with hits contributed from many. Haley West added three hits and Maddie James added two. Morgan Sandor had two RBI’s. Savannah Hamilton led the Indians, pitching 74 pitches with three strikeouts. 

Fielding, for the girls, was also very strong. Center fielder Maddie James made some key diving catches, along with Madeline Wroblewski adding 2 catches in the outfield. The girls went on to defeat Bishop Chatard 6-0. 

Later in the day, the Indians faced Edwardsburg. The girls were off two a slow start, allowing Edwardsburg to score 2 in the first, but ended up adding one in the bottom of the first inning. The girls went on to only add 5 hits. Both Savannah Hamilton and Kennedy Swope helped the Indians in the circle. Savannah contributed 110 pitches and Kennedy finished off the game with 10. The Lady Indians fell short in the game, losing 5-2, making them 4-1 on the season.

The girls face Marian on Monday for the Holy War. Their games against Clay and Northridge also got rescheduled to Thursday and Friday of this week.
