On Saturday May 8th the second ranked Saint Joe boys Lacrosse team took on the fifth ranked Brebeuf Jesuit Prepatory school.

On a cloudy Saturday evening the Indians started their game slow with ending the first quarter down 3-0. The second Quarter the boys came back out strong. With goals scored by Antonio Morell and Luke Thomas, the boys were back on track with a score of 4-2. By the end of the second quarter two more goals were scored by sophomore Antonio Morell to put the Indians down 5-4 at halftime.

The second half started and the boys came out firing with hard hits, physical ground balls, and long possessions on offense. Goal scored by Antonio Morell to tie the game up 6-6 going into the fourth quarter. The final quarter started and Brebeuf went up 7-6, the boys fired back with a goal by Jack Plomin to tie the game up. With two minutes left in the game, after a good face-off win, Jack Tolbolski passed it to Jack Plomin and with a crisp pass to Luke Thomas in the middle he buried the shot for the Indians to take the lead with two minutes left to go. A strong showing on the defensive side was led by Ben Bailey in net along with Ethan FullenKamp, Quinn Boyer, and Austin Futa who were collectively able to shut them down and feed the ball back down to the offensive side for them to kill the time left on the clock.

The boys came up with a huge win to stay ranked number two in 1a and also keep home field advantage for the first two rounds of playoffs coming up. The Indians are back in action on Wednesday May 12th looking to avenge an earlier loss against Penn at home.
