If you love YA fantasy novels and a good cliffhanger, this is the book for you! Descendant of the Crane by Joan He is a Chinese-inspired fantasy with fantastic plot. Princess Hesina is now queen but she steps into this role while facing great tragedy. Her father and former king is now dead and she is determined to find the truth and track his killer. This is a story of complicated characters, who simply cannot be labeled good or bad. He’s prose and world-building is sure to please any YA fantasy fan.
