As the labor day sales come to a close, fall is in full swing. After last year’s sweater vests and the emergence of animal prints, street style is going to look a little different than last year.

Tailored looks are here to stay

Chicmony

Boxy and oversized blazers took over this past spring and summer and it doesn’t look like they’re leaving anytime soon. Now, the looks are going from bold pastels and patterns to fall neutrals and subdued patterns. Pair your favorite blazer with a cute graphic tee and a turtleneck for a quick and easy layering look or spice up your favorite sweatsuit for an added chic aspect to your Sunday morning outfit.

Sunday church meets go to shoes

Plain white tennis shoes have made their place in our hearts, but loafers are making their way into everyday outfits. From jeans and a button down to your favorite dress, loafers can elevate every outfit. Check out a more chunky sole or go classic and snag a pair of Dr. Martens 1461s. Pair them with some cropped flares, chunky socks, and a cute sweater and you will be golden.

Throughout history, you can see a correlation between the length of a person’s skirt to how the economy is faring. The 2020s are no exception. With the wild ups and downs from the COVID-19 pandemic, skirts and dresses have seemed to grow. Midi and maxi skirts litter sidewalks as people search for a feminine way to stay cool in the summer months. However, the skirt is not expected to rise this upcoming season. Pair your favorite midi or maxi dress with a cropped sweater or a long sleeve underneath for an amazing layering moment.

Fur coats

At the end of last winter, fur trimmed sweaters entered the fashion world. Now, the pros are turning it up a notch. Designers are producing long trench coats with fur collars and cuffs in bold colors and short leather jackets with sherpa collars and cuffs. Stay warm this season in style by pairing either of these coats with some wide leg jeans, Chelsea boots, and chunky socks.
