At the very start of the horror month, in October Sony and Marvel released Venom 2 or Venom: Let There Be Carnage as a sequel coming off an overall well-received first movie from 2018 and the reveal of Carnage in the end credit scene left people waiting for the sequel.

Venom 2, a superhero movie , showcases Woody Harrelson as Cletus Kasady the super-powered serial killer Carnage, but the fans of comics, movies, and the casual fans express the belief that they hurt the movie with a PG-13 rating censoring the brutality and violence that Carnage is known for. Also changing Carnage into a villain that does puns and jokes for no reason besides he is crazy feels like a tactic just to make the movie to be funny like Disney’s other Marvel movies. Finally, Venom was problematic because they showed no character development from the first movie by doing the same plot.

Although there were a lot of negative sides to the movie there are some positives too like the CGI interesting be showing the interesting difference in mindsets of the protagonist (Venom) and the antagonist (Carnage) movements and using their powers. The fight scenes are dynamic and creative with many uses of environmental factors. The end credit scene of Venom: Let There Be Carnage has the Internet in fury and is the best part of the movie with fans saying that the price of the theater is worth it just for the end credit scene. Overall the movie is C for the casual viewers and a D+ for fans so view at your judgment.
